Summary: | Federal Territory of Putrajaya was the new administrative capital of Malaysia was set to archive a 70% share of all travel by public transport in the city area. But current day modal share shows that the split between private transport and public transport was 85:15. This share modal show that it still far before it can achieve its goal. Because of this, study and survey have been conducted to understand travel readiness to use public transportation, especially public buses as they main transportation modes when move around Putrajaya instead of travelling in they own cars. This understanding was critical to attract more public user to use public transportation especially public buses. On this study, various variable has been taken for consideration such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance and service quality. Questionnaire survey was being used to collect the data that was needed to conduct this study from the respondents. From the data that have been collect and analyze, results shown that reliability and service quality was the most important factor for public to consider using public transportation, especially public bus. From the results of this study reveals that the variables that been use for this study was useful in order to know more about public intention toward public bus services. |
