| Summary: | The community health survey is held to analyze the health and environmental status in the community. This study is carried out to determine the health, environmental status and awareness of the community in Kg. Air Melintas Besar especially to things related to the safety and health. In this research, a quota sampling was chosen to select sample from the house selected in Kg. Air Melintas Besar. First is assuming 100 out of 151 houses in that area. The community of Kg. Air Melintas Besar is still not aware about any problems could occur from environmental status such as vector borne disease which is dengue fever. Sewage system is one of the requirements needed in each residential area. Without proper sewage system, many environmental problems will occur such as breeding site of mosquitoes larvae, odor and river pollution. The odor and river pollution will also occur because the sewage is directly discharge into the river without being treated in individual septic tank or other provided tank. They do not aware if flushing system in the toilet is broken, it will possible to Aedes mosquitoes larvae to breed. It is about 43.75% of flushing system is not functioning well. In addition, there is several houses do not own any individual septic tank or other tank which is about 8%. They directly discharge their wastewater into the river. Directly discharge the wastewater into the river can make the river polluted. Some recommendations had been suggested such as maintaining the toilet cleanliness and flushing system must be repaired. |
