This course introduces students to various aspects of aural skills. Students will be expected to utilize their knowledge of music theory in this class. Online and classroom activities incorporating scales, intervals, triads, melodic and rhythmic dictation will be carried out weekly to enhance students’ listening skills as well as reinforce their comprehension of basic theoretical concepts. Students will also be expected to be proficient in singing at sight short melodies using the solfege system.
