Among a series of soil remediation technologies, microbial remediation is an economical and sustainable remediation technology for soil heavy metal pollution. This review starts with the hazards of soil heavy metal pollution, analyzes the current soil heavy metal pollution situation in China, elaborates on the connection of microbial remediation technology, studies the role of microbial remediation technology in soil heavy metal pollution remediation, and explores practical applications of this technology.
