Summary:An interactive multimedia is an additive learning tool for the user learning in interesting and enjoyable way. Combination of multimedia element such as sound, image and text in learning makes the learners more focus on what they are learning. It also will give a more positive impact to the users to understand more about Mandarin language. The problem face by the user is user interface is not user friendly because most of the learning is using Chinese characters as the medium for learning and users will find it hard to learn Mandarin language. This courseware will help users in learning on how to pronounce and understanding the meaning in the form of Pinyin. This research was focused on the sounds that will enable the users to understand and will pronounce the word in Mandarin. The methodology use is ADDIE method to have an overview a clear picture of teaching and learning. Future works suggested are to use other platform for this learning instead of Android application only and varieties of contents for user to learn. As the result, users or non-native speakers was able to learn and understand Mandarin language using this courseware and it will give advantages for them to learn Mandarin.
