Description
Summary:This paper extracts the theory and philosophy of HAMKA literature which is constantly written in his writing, from the biodata and direct involvement of HAMKA in writing. When observed, none of the books in writing speaks of the theory of literature he holds. Thus, the values and principles of HAMKA literature need to be thoroughly refined on each of his works, thus translating into papers. This paper generally recognizes the background of HAMKA and some of its works including novels. Specifically, it attempts to examine the concept of literary, philosophical, and theoretical concepts that have the elements of Islam to be guided and add value to the frame of view on studies of the well-known and renowned figures of the age. When observed, it is clear to readers today that the Islamic thought paths based on the noble Aqidah are reflected in the work of his work. As if in setting the 'Islamic literary concept' is often debated the issue of unprofitable work and personal issues; that is often a writer who deals with Islam and is content with philosophy virtues and divine elements but sometimes his writing does not have the character and personality balanced with his work. So in this case, HAMKA is the best example; the balance between his personality as a well-known scholar and adorned with high personality, the contents of the philosophy of the truth expressed in every work, and the high scientific value displayed in his writing has its own 'standard'. So the whole work of his work is a reflection of the high literary value and Bahasa Melayu to this day.
