Therefore, this project proposed implementing a sustainable landscape design that will promote a healthy environment for senior citizens that can give long term impacts to their quality of life. This project is located in a residential area (Section 24) where senior citizens live. Section 24 Shah Alam has a theme of vegetation, and the name of each street with both Roman and Jawi symbolizes the identity of Shah Alam as “Bandaraya Melayu”. Therefore, observation, literature review and phone interview used to produce a comprehensive literature review on elderly and the benefits of sustainable landscape design to their health. The results obtained from the elderly needs and their preferences towards sustainable landscape designs.
