One of the systems, the skin, or integumentary system is the set of organs forming the outermost layer of human’s body. It acts as a physical barrier between external and internal environment that serves to protect and maintain human body. The scientific research has been progresses tremendously in this area however, there is insufficiency review and description from Islamic perspective. Thus, this paper aims to synthesise available literature on integumentary sciences and relate with Islamic perspective. Related publications and references were identified through several ways: i) by structured searches in PubMed, Google scholar, Web of Knowledge and Science Direct and iii) by identification of relevant references from Quran and Hadith. The roles of integumentary system in fingerprints identification, variation of skin colour, regeneration and replacement of skin in hell fire, and the benefit of circumcision are explained from the Islamic perspective based on relevant Qur’anic verses and/or the hadith. It is hoped that by viewing and relating Islamic perspective and scientific knowledge it will become a single source of hidayah, the source of truth for this world and the hereafter. 2021-06-08 Conference or Workshop Item PeerReviewed application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/94718/20/94718_%20Physiology%20of%20integumentary%20system_book.pdf application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/94718/21/94718_%20Physiology%20of%20integumentary%20system_certificate.pdf application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/94718/22/94718_%20Physiology%20of%20integumentary%20system_slide.pdf Hassan, Habibah and Ahmad Roslee, Athirah Nur and Ikmal Hisham, Ahmad Irfan and Abdul Ghani, Radiah (2021) Physiology of integumentary system: integration from islamic perspective.
