Description
Summary:Agricultural has been the leading sector that serves the human being basic needs. Without us realizing it, most of the other sectors depend on agricultural output. Thus, agriculture is indeed a need for efficient management provided by all stages in society. Both Islamic and western perspectives have contributed significantly to the developments today. This paper will commence the discussion with muzara’ah and musaqat as the earliest sharecropping in the Muslim world and continue with the Arab revolution and the agricultural revolution of the west. Last but not least, the study reviews the agricultural contract as the key important feature in narrowing the income gap within society and providing food security to satisfy people’s basic needs in line with the sustainable development agenda.
