The preparation of the Kuala Pilah Local Plan is in accordance with the requirement under Act 172 (town and country planning act), governs by PLANMalaysia, Ministry of Housing and Local Government. It has many relevant sectors ranging from land use, agriculture, industry, housing, environment and many more. It gives directions and guidance for Kuala Pilah District Council to plan, control and monitor developments within its jurisdiction. For instance, the environmental sector identifies places known as Environmental Sensitive Areas and their level of sensitivity towards the development. Overall, this plan is about the development planning system for this district.
