Description
Summary:Health and Wellbeing, as defined by SDG 3, is based on many factors apart from physical health to include healthcare systems, mental health and community health. In design for health to meet SDG3, this presentation redefined the concept of health shared from findings by many researches after many years of practice and research. Health, to be effective, should be sourced from within the community itself. From content analysis and job experiences, the outcome of this research denotes that the design of facilities for health need not be stipulated to only medical & healthcare facilities only but begins from the home and the community. In this phenomenon, findings show the geography where the people originate/live, and their cultural root sets behavioural conduct that is accepted as influencing the state of health. The focus of health from womb to tomb runs true for all mankind. However, the western ways of designing the built environment perceived as modern need to be reviewed to concur with the needs of the locality. As history has proven itself with the occurrence of the pandemic, the practice of aged old hygiene and well being from respective cultures and geography have an impact on the betterment of our own health.
