ملخص البحث يتشعّب علم العروض من أصناف العلوم الأدبية، وهو علم يعنى بدراسة موسيقى الشعر العربي وإيقاعاته. ومن الأهداف العامة من دراسة علم العروض قدرة الدارسين على قراءة الشعر قراءة صحيحة مع مراعاة أوزان البحور الشعرية، فأصبحت دراسة هذا العلم أمر لا يستغنى عنه خاصة لمن يريد الاطلاع على الشعر العربي. وعلى الرغم من كثرة الدراسات المتعلقة بعلم العروض إلا أنها تمسّ الجانب النظري، بل ثمة النقص في السيطرة على دافعية الطلبة في تعلّم هذا العلم. لذا، لا غرو عندما وجدنا كثيرا من الطلاب يواجهون صعوبة في الإقبال على دراسة علم العروض، بل إن بعضهم ينفر منها، نظرا لعدم استطاعته أن ينسب بيتا من الأشعار إلى بحره. وانطلاقا من هذا الصدد، يسلط هذا البحث الضوء على المشاكل التي يواجهها طلبة الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية بماليزيا في غضون دراسة علم العروض. واعتمدت الباحثتان على المدخل الكيفي مستخدمتين المقابلة شبه المقنّنة في جمع البيانات؛ حيث شارك عشرة طلاب ماليزيين متخصصين في اللغة العربية وآدابها بالجامعة الإسلامية العالمية بماليزيا، قبل إجرائها في برنامج أتلاس.تي.أي (Atlas.ti). وقد خلص البحث إلى أن المشكلات التي يواجهها الطلبة في دراسة علم العروض تمس جانبين؛ أولهما: منهج التعليم وأسلوب المعلمين، وثانيهما: نفور الطلاب والدارسين من المادة. الكلمات المفتاحية: مشكلات تعلّم علم العروض، الشعر العربي، البحور الشعرية، طلبة الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية بماليزيا Abstract: Arabic prosody was included in the types of literary sciences and it refers to the study of music and rhythms of Arabic poetry. One of the objectives of learning Arabic prosody is to identify the ability of students to read poetry in the correct manner and help students to pay more attention to learning in Arabic poetry. Focusing on this subject has become an indispensable matter, especially for those who want to learn about Arabic poetry. Despite this, many students found it difficult to study the subject, and some were even alienated from it due to their inability to attribute a poetic meter in Arabic poetry. Therefore, it is not surprising when we found many students facing difficulties in studying Arabic prosody as some of them are not familiar with this topic. This study aims to expose the difficulties that students face in the course of studying Arabic prosody. By using the qualitative method, a semi-structured interview was conducted for the process of collecting data and important information. Ten Malaysian students majoring in the Arabic language from International Islamic University in Malaysia participated in this study and performing the data analysis by using Atlas.ti program. This study concludes that the problems faced by the students in learning Arabic prosody are related to two main aspects; namely method of teaching practiced by the instructors, and the second is the students' aversion to the subject.
