Summary:Identifying the intraocular lens (IOL) material is an important step before further mechanical and optical testing can be done. The characterization of the materials is particularly important during the finite element analysis where the simulation of the lens can be performed in accordance to the well-established standards. The aim of this work is to identify the material properties of MY IOL intraocular lens using the Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy technique.
