Description
Summary:Drones usage was rapidly increased and able to reshape an enablement of geospatial big data for the future urban planning. However, the existence of UAV/drones found their limited exploration and not fully utilized in order to enrich a geospatial big data in Malaysia urban planning. Therefore, this submission is highlighted the innovative ideas of using multi types of drones and its sensors in handling many aspects offering fast, accurate and low cost solution. Authors are presenting few projects that involved the usage of fixed-wing, multi-rotor and quadcopter types of drones mounted with sniffer gas, thermal and RGB sensors. The specific device setting, fieldwork and pre/main and post processing has been determined. The finding shows that the suitability of drone types and sensor is MUST aspect to consider in determining the quality of data that would be used for further processing and finally the output of databases. These studies innovated the ideas of drone's usage in urban planning and further proofed that the drone’s technologies enable for far more accurate, fastest and less cost of data which, further enablement the potential of geospatial big data in urban planning.
