Description
Summary:Due to the increasing number of wireless devices around the globe and development of wireless communication technology, positioning techniques becomes an essential element in many applications. These are emergency service, navigation, tracking, location-based services and security. The challenges in positioning location and tracking estimation has been tackled by many systems over the past decades. However, the current techniques present weakness in term of non line-of-sight (NLOS) environment. This paper explores the current techniques of wireless devices and propose approach of locating lost devices or finding hidden devices with no regard to GPS in complex environment. The technique of received signal strength indicator (RSSI) approach is used in the proposed scheme. Open issues were noted, and solution were proposed in the scheme while results of performance analysis were sufficiently presented illustrating efficiency compared to existing schemes.
