The rat model is well proven for observing oral candidal colonization and infection, due to the ease of breeding, handling and their ready availability. Candida  is a normal commensal of mucous membrane of human mouth. One of the most prevalent manifestations of oral candidiasis is candida- induced denture stomatitis. A major virulence factor of candida albicans is its ability to adapt to different environments, the resulting is formation of surface-attached microbial communities known as biofilms. The treatment of mucosal infections caused by candida and the elucidation of the disease is challenging. 2019-11-18 Conference or Workshop Item PeerReviewed application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/76569/1/dental%20malaysia.jpg application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/76569/9/76569_Experimental%20oral%20candidiasis%20in%20wistar%20rat%20model.pdf application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/76569/20/76569_Tentative%20Program%20Cover.pdf application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/76569/21/76569_Tentative%20Program.pdf application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/76569/10/76569_Certificate.pdf Mustafa Al-Ahmad, Basma Ezzat (2019) Experimental oral candidiasis in wistar rat model.
