However, within the discourse, a new dimension has focused on foreign aid and corruption in these countries. The question asked is: Does foreign aid reduce corruption or does it generate more corruption? Again, a host of studies show either a positive or negative correlation. This article, which is an abridged version of a larger project, presents a preliminary analysis on the question of foreign aid and corruption in the Muslim world during 1990-2011.
