This research examines a number of major concepts pertaining to the development of human capital in Islam, with special reference to ‘Abdul Rahman Ibn Khaldun (d. 1406) whose perspective acquaints us with the nature of human capital according to the Islamic worldview and values, while enriching relevant scholarship with critical insights required for better understanding of human capital in cross-cultural and multi-religious context.
