Description
Summary:PURPOSE: This project aims to develop a centralized web-based application for Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia in IIUM that will digitalize all the business in the club such as new member registration and class management system. METHODS: SiCekaMmunity is developed using Laravel PHP framework. A survey was conducted regarding the features of the application that need to be included in the system before it is developed. A series of interviews with the instructors were conducted as well to get their opinion on the existing system features that are needed for the newly built system. To ensure the development process is following the standards, it is developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) where it consists of seven stages including planning & ideation, requirement gathering, requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Apart from that, the development of the system includes the functional requirements which are the features of the system and non-functional requirements which are the general properties of the system. RESULTS: The system's web pages were designed for optimal user interaction, tailored for guests, administrators, instructors, and members. Guests could access general information like the homepage and event pages. Administrators had a dashboard to manage club info, events, member progress, and feedback. Instructors could manage classes, track progress, and register for events. Members had dashboards to view club info, enroll in classes, check event calendars, provide feedback, and monitor their progress. CONCLUSION: The Si CekaMmunity web application effectively addressed PSSCMIIUM's administrative challenges, streamlining membership management and event coordination. Built on Laravel, the application received positive feedback, demonstrating the value of modernized data management for organizational effectiveness and member engagement.
