Summary: | I believe universities around the world should transcend religious and ideological differences and embrace the ship metaphor and ship hadith. If they can produce competent, responsible, and morally upright graduates, all of us can dream of a better world free of corruption, oppression, and injustice. Since its inception in 1983, IIUM has been striving to produce competent graduates with moral dignity who would
go on to the wider world and play their part as leaders to change it for the better. In this festschrift, we have touched on various aspects of the late Kamal Hassan’s truly significant contribution to that noble endeavour and his active involvement in formulating the educational philosophy, and ensuring a conducive environment, of IIUM. May God grant him the everlasting bliss of paradise and bless the IIUM affiliates with ability, dedication, and commitment to maintain and build on his legacy! |
