Summary:Major problems when people lost their belongings or when someone accidentally found others' belongings are the difficulty in returning them back to the right owner and also the lengthy police report procedures they have to follow. This report presents the development ofMYLost and Found website. It is a region-based online service made for Malaysian to easily search for items they lost and also to advertise itemsthat peoplefound. The suitablealgorithmis studied as to capture and matchthe lost and found data. To fulfil the objectives ofthe project, System Development Life Cycle will be implemented throughout this project. The methodology selected is prototyping-based where the analysis, design and implementation phases are performed repeatedly and the prototype also evolved concurrently from cycle to cycle until the system is completed. As a result, the website application is developed which demonstrates the simple and user-friendly Graphical User Interface for capturing lost and found item's description and the searching and posting modulehas been integrated together to solve the matching problem. in
