Given that the modelling efforts have not been completely successful in describing the hydrate growth kinetics, currently we may rely on experimental data for this purpose. However at present there is only a limited number of hydrate growth kinetics data available in the literature especially for the hydrates of mixed methane and carbon dioxide. In this study, we report the values of induction time and growth rate constant for hydrates of mixed methane and carbon dioxide using their two different compositions. The two experiments have been conducted under similar conditions. The results are used to discuss the effect of gas composition on the kinetics of hydrate formation.
