Two approaches of generating a multiband response based on the concept of hybrid polynomials is presented in this thesis. The first approach modifies the existing Chebyshev type I polynomials to generate a symmetrical dual-band response. The second approach modifies the existing Chebyshev type I polynomials to generate a symmetrical tri-band response. The two approaches presented is capable of forming an analytical model (that is the transfer and reflection function) in the beginning of the designing process. The analytical model allows for better designing process in terms of greater design flexibility, control and analysis. In this thesis, Both approaches discussed will be experimented as a proof of concept of the feasibility of hybrid polynomials. 2017-03 Thesis NonPeerReviewed application/pdf en http://utpedia.utp.edu.my/21983/1/2017%20-%20ELECTRICAL%20%26%20ELECTRONIC%20-%20%20DESIGN%20OF%20MULTIBAND%20FILTERS%20BASED%20ON%20HYBRID%20POLYNOMIALS%20-%20ELDEN%20ZEE%20CHIEN%20PHENG.pdf ZEE CHIEN, ELDEN PHENG (2017) DESIGN OF MULTIBAND FILTERS BASED ON HYBRID POLYNOMIALS.
