However, structural complexity and heterogeneity of cell-wall microfibrils in OPB is the biggest challenge for the clean separation of celluloses with minimal structural alteration. Among different pretreatment methods, enzymatic delignification for degrading lignin has received much attention as an environmentally safe process.
