Summary:Road accident and traffic jam are the global issues in the current traffic system and every year thousands of people died or injured due to road accidents. Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) is the infrastructure part of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). V ANET is a subclass of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs). Security is one of the key important factor and basic user requirement for successful implementation of such kind of networks. This research work focuses on the how to achieve a harmonious balance between Security. Trust and Privacy (STP) in VA NET. Our main contribution in this research is an STP Model for VANET for implementation in a real environment that will increase user contidence in using the Infrastructure for future transportation systems. b) making it safer to use for content, information and safety messages.
