Description
Summary:Nowadays, Earth is facing problems and challenges from different circumstances due to the dramatic rise of urban modernisation. The construction industry is the most contributor to climate changes. Achieving sustainability in construction is complicated, but one of the most optimal strategies is to select building materials which have a lower carbon footprint. This research aims to develop a decision-making model to choose the best alternative building material for building. The decision model was developed using AHP judgement and Value-based analysis in choosing suitable alternative material for façade. This research is divided into three purposes which are to determine criteria in sustainable building material to apply in the decision-making process, to investigate the criteria of sustainable material to be considered in decision-making model, to identify the suitable alternatives for sustainable building and to choose the best alternatives for sustainable building material.
