The main objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between eco-innovation and firm operational performance. This study also aims to investigate the moderating role of ownership structure in the relationship between eco-innovation and firm operational performance. This study applies covariance-based structural equation modelling to data collected from a total of 112 Malaysian Oil and Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) companies. Results suggest that eco-innovation contributes towards the operational performance of Malaysian OGSE companies. Also, the Process and Institutional dimensions significantly contributed towards operational performance. Furthermore, a concentrated ownership was found to moderate the Product-Service System – firm operational performance as well as the eco-innovation – firm operational performance relationship.
