Potential Application of Biocomposite from Seaweed as a Green Construction Material

This research aims to identify the compounds of the materials of the seaweed by finding the most similar properties with cement (cementitious property). Description
Summary:This research aims to identify the compounds of the materials of the seaweed by finding the most similar properties with cement (cementitious property). Also, this research aims to determine the strength of the strength of mortar, based on range of percentage replacement levels in the mortar (0.1%, 0.5%, 1.0%, and 2.5%) when mixed with seaweed, which Gracilaria Changii species was used. In achieving a high strength concrete, a large amount of cement is used whilst a small number of seaweed added in the concrete can enhance the concrete to achieve a higher strength.
