Description
Summary:The aim of this project is to fabricate a pH sensor using a screen printed electrode by electrodeposition method. In order to achieve this, a iridium oxide film will be coated on the working electrode of the electrode. With a very small size electrode, it very convenient to be used and it can produce potential response s by electrochemical reaction due to it sensitivity to surrounding pH levels. The versatility of iridium oxide as pH sensors from past research study showed it promising in detecting potential response with a Near-Nernstian reaction in consistent and repeatability at range between −69.9mV/pH and −74.5 mV/pH for pH values ranges from 2 to 12 at temperature of 25 ◦C. The approach to fabricating the pH sensor in this project is by utilizing electrodeposition technique.
