Description
Summary:This research looks on how stratified flow in pipeline flow within different interaction of phases. Kelvin Helmholtz instabilities play a role in determine the transition of stratified flow into various type of phenomena of the flow. The purpose of this research is to develop a computational model to analyze the instabilities flow in liquid-liquid, liquid-gas, and gas-liquid phase interaction. The method that we use to in the computational model is Volume of Fluid method by ANSYS Fluent. Through this step we found a few parameters which is critical, to determine the correlation of the quantification. By knowing this correlation of the parameters so that we are able to understand on operating pipeline system with respect to deterioration mechanisms.
