Description
Summary:The performance of an air conditioner depends on the refrigeration cycle that consists of compressor, condenser, evaporator and expansion valve. The temperature and pressure of each component are crucial to the performance of the system. Each design has different operation condition (temperature and pressure) depending on the refrigerant that is used in the refrigeration cycle and depending on the climate condition on that particular places. Once the temperature and pressure are out of the range of the standard operating condition, the power consumption will increase for the component to reach the requirement and hence the overall performance and energy efficiency will drop. There are many factors that are affecting the performance of air conditioning such as an overheated compressor or dirty coil.
