Summary:The demands on natural gas keep increasing for the last several years. However, most of the world’s reserves natural gas contain high amount of carbon dioxide. It is crucial to change current desorption technique with new compact size separator that can remove carbon dioxide instantly and feasible to be used at offshore platform. This project aims to investigate effect of temperature towards desorption of carbon dioxide from the solvent by using converging nozzle and how effectiveness of physical desorption of carbon dioxide change with temperature. This research covered concept of gas-liquid desorption, solubility of carbon dioxide, vapour liquid equilibrium, supersaturated ratio, effect of temperature towards desorption and effectiveness of the converging nozzle used.
