A locally isolated bacterial strain Serdang 1 was investigated for phenol degradation. Based on Biolog ™ Identification System and a BLASTN search of GenBank, the complete sequences of bacteria strain Serdang 1 shared 98% similarity with Acinetobacter baumannii.
