The chemical produced is toxic and non-biodegradable. Worsening the case, releasing directly into the sea may harm the marine environment. The second most common option which is drilling a dumping well is not possible for its high cost. The last option left is only by re-injecting treated water into the reservoir again. Thus, this study is carried out to investigate the potential of injectivity problem that may arise when injecting the produced water containing chemicals by varying the filtration level and oil in water concentration. Several elements were identified as crucial for this study namely produced water reinjection, formation damage, salinity, suspended solids, and water quality. Core flooding test was carried out and it was found that there is no injectivity issue when re-injecting produced water with surfactant and polymer. Detailed analysis are included together with the results and for future research, recommendations are also given at the end of this report.
