Description
Summary:The indoor environmental factors considered in office building must be determined in order to meet user’s requirement. Disruption of indoor environment may constitute to reduce occupants’ efficiency and work productivity. Observations of the temperature were performed at lecturer’s office in block 13 and found that the cooling load varies from early morning till evening indicating the cooling requirement of different load. The objective of this study is to analyze the response of the AHU units response to the variable cooling load. The AHU system should respond to the cooling requirement through the varies component such as blower speed control, VAV position , temperature detector and etc. The study undertaken in this project measures temperature and air flow velocity in order to determine the behavior of the AHU system. The fluid dynamic of the system was simulated using Fluent. The results show that the AHU increases the flow rate of the cooled air when cooling load is high.
