One of the most proven effective way for organic solvent removal is adsorption by using activated carbon, using coconut shell as a raw material for the activated carbon due to its availability in Malaysia, and its high recommendation as a raw material worldwide, After sometime during adsorption, the activated carbon will be saturated and need to be regenerated, which is expensive.
