With that, some issues are becoming problematic; issue such as brain drain, unemployment rate, unfulfilled expectation, and gap between different industry are real concern to Malaysia. This study examines the variables (career opportunity, self-efficacy, economic consideration, social influence) that affect the career choices of the young generations in private universities in Malaysia, to find the reasons for the aforementioned problems. Using deductive approach as one of the research designs, a hypothesis was proposed after reviewing various literature. With data obtained from students in UTAR, MMU, UTP, UNITEN, strong evidence supporting the proposed hypothesis were found. These findings demonstrate how the independent variables have a big impact on the career choices of the younger generation.
