Summary:The primary objective of this research is to critically investigate the impact of the chosen set of green supply chain management (GSCM) practices on green innovation performance (EIP) among large Malaysian manufacturers that are certified with ISO14001. In other words, the magnitude and direction of causality effect exerted by GSCM practices on EIP were evaluated. 107 usable primary data were gathered through self-administered survey questionnaires. The statistical analysis tools employed were PLS-SEM by utilizing SmartPLS 3.0 and Artificial Neural Network analysis (ANN) by utilizing IBM SPSS v22. A novel dual-stage PLS-ANN statistical technique was employed to determine the significance and strength of the relationships and the significant predictors were subsequently ranked. This research showcases the eminence of GSCM practices as propellers to drive EIP. Surprisingly, the relationship between cooperation with customers and investment recovery with EIP is not significant. Nevertheless, this has broadened the horizon of existing literature by contributing to the generation of new knowledge through the provision of sensible and well-supported justifications for insignificant relationships which were conventionally significant.
