Summary:Depression is a common and serious medical illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts and affects the way a person eats, sleeps, feels about himself or herself. The signs and symptoms of depression comprise loss of interest in activities that were one interesting or enjoyable, loss of appetite or overeating consequential in weight loss or weight gain respectively; loss of emotional expressions, anxious and no emotional reaction or expression. Depression gradually leads to the Alzheimer’s disease (AD) [1,2].
