Since radio sources from the universe is very weak, astronomer need to suppress, remove or avoid radio frequency in1erfercnce (RFI) from active spectrum user and radio noise produced by human made (telecommunication. mobile phone and microwave oven). There are many observatories around the world are surrounded by a RQZ. RQZ can set up using public or state laws. A RQZ normally consists of two areas: an exclusive area in which totally radio emissions are forbidden, with restrictions for residents and business developments, and a larger (radius is above 100 km) coordinating area where the power of radio transmission limits to threshold levels. In this paper, we report the importance of the usage of RQZ in order to identify the areas were suitable for RQZ. There are many factors need to consider to address his problem for example mobile phone and TV transmitters. To identify the best site for radio astronomer, RFI mapping could be a best technique. We will also use other information gathered from on-site RFI level measurements on selected 'best' areas generated by the RFI mapping. Then, after identifying best site we travel to the site selected to view the profile of RFI level. The intention is to find the best site for the purpose of establishing first radio quiet zones for radio telescope in Malaysia and Thailand. |
