Description
Summary:It is no secret that power generation using clean, secure, reliable and affordable renewable sources can help the countries to meet their sustainable development goals . Such programs have already joined the mainstream power supply system in most part of the world. However in underdeveloped countries, biomass plants are suitable for both standalone and interconnected systems since these countries have waste management issues. In this paper the technical and economical characterization of biomass resources for co-firing is studied. In the first part of the paper technical analysis of co-firing technologies and Carbon-di-oxide emission (C02) associated with those technologies are presented. The effect of increasing co-firing offset on the efficiency of the total system is also shown. In second part of the paper, economical analysis through Levelized Cost of Electricity generation ,Operations and maintenance cost and energy usage factor are given.
