Summary:The purpose of this research aimed to know a)youths'activities b) the public area use of the activities of the youth and c) the institutions those provide activities for the youth at Muang in Three Provinces Deep South Thailand (Narathiwat, Yala, Pattani). A qualitative research methodology was employed. The data were collected by an in-depth interview with the semi-structure questionnaire. The research was conducted with 48 youth from twelve schools in three provinces, aged 15 to 20 years old, moreover, 5 administrators and 7 teachers were also chosen for the interview.It was carried out during January to March 2012.We found that a) most young people spend their free time activities in school which were organized by school and external institutions. b) the youth used public parks in each province to do their activities and meet their friends. c) the municipality is the core to organize the activities for the youth Furthermore, the suggestions from the administrators and the teachers revealed that the unrest in the three southern border provinces made the difficulties to organize activities for the youth, however, the schools tried to promote activities.
