总结:This paper examined the relationship between work-family balance and affective organizational commitment, with moderating effect of social support among academic staff of Malaysian research universities. Work-family conflict and work-family enrichment were dimensions of work-family balance, while social support consisted of work support and family support. Data was collected, using questionnaires, from 325 academic staff. The Pearson correlation analysis used indicated that there was a significantly weak and positive relationship of work family-balance dimensions, work family conflict and work family enrichment with affective organizational commitment. Even though, the academic staff faced conflict between work and family, they still maintained their affective organizational commitment. Their work family enrichment contributed to their affective organizational commitment. In addition, the work support and family support had significant and positive moderating effects on the relationship between work-family balance and affective organizational commitment.
