Yunus Tomography Scanning systems Tomographic system Infrared technology Flowmeter -- Design and construction Organized by Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia (KUKUM), 18th-19th May 2005 at Putra Palace Hotel, Kangar This paper is concerned with a new method of measuring a two-phase flow involving solid particles flowing in air. The method made use of an infra red tomographic system. It has the ability to accurately visualize concentration profiles in a pipeline. The imaging is carried out on-line without invading the fluids. The flow meter used a combination of two orthogonal and two rectilinear infra-red projections.
