| Summary: | The emergence of COVID-19 has affected the stock market in Malaysia and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBMKLCI). From this point of view, stock price movement influenced by financial and non-financial performance indicators is noticed. In detail, gross domestic product, consumer price index, industrial production index and exchange rate are financial indicators. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate, number of COVID-19 cases, and number of COVID-19 deaths are non-financial indicators. In our study, three objectives are considered. The first is to test the stationarity of data collected by the Augmented Dickey-Fuller test. The second is to identify the impact of the performance indicators on the stock market by multiple linear regression analysis. The third is to determine the relationship between Malaysia’s stock market and performance indicators during the COVID-19 pandemic using the Granger causality test. From the analysis results, the multiple linear regression analysis proves that the exchange rate, unemployment rate, and COVID-19 deaths are negatively correlated with the FBMKLCI.
