New MAS nearing solid footing

An initial cost savings of at least RM180 million from revised catering contracts plus more from reduced payroll expenses due to a leaner workforce will put the new Malaysia Airlines (MAS) on a firm footing as it climbs to profitability by 2018, an academician said yesterday.
